The Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour has officially begun its 30th season for the 2026-2027 period with The Main Event XVIII held at TJ's Classic Billiards in Waterville, Maine. Organized by Mike Zuglan from AzBilliards.com, this weekend event features a $1,500 added prize pool and a separate second chance tournament on Sunday for players eliminated during the Saturday main draw.
The competition structure includes double elimination formats with races to 9 wins for one side of the bracket and races to 7 wins for those who have lost once. Entry fees are set at $120 for professional-level players and $70 for non-professional participants, while the second chance event carries a lower entry fee of $20. All events remain open to players in good standing across all skill levels.
To support local venues, sponsors TJ's Classic Billiards have contributed an additional $2,000 toward the prize pool and provided refreshments for attendees. The tournament requires proper attire consisting of jeans or billiard jerseys with collared shirts but prohibits t-shirts, shorts, and sweat clothes, with play scheduled to begin promptly at 10:30 AM on Saturday morning.
