Manchester United is currently struggling with a poor start to the 2026/27 season, sitting in 13th place in the Premier League after just one win in four matches. The club has also been eliminated from the Carabao Cup following their recent defeat to Brighton, prompting them to look for new talent amidst underperforming squad members.
Reports indicate that United is aiming to sign a £120 million star midfielder from Barcelona and plans to beat Chelsea in this race. This potential transfer targets one of Europe's top midfielders as the Red Devils attempt to bolster their squad following their disappointing recent form across both league play and cup competition.
