Praya Lundberg returns to Bangkok Community Help Foundation to support Klong Toey residents

Legacy Thai actress and former UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Praya Lundberg returned to the Bangkok Community Help Foundation’s Center of Dreams in Klong Toey to support its ongoing food program. During her visit, she volunteered with staff to prepare meals while also donating over 200 kilograms of rice and more than 1,000 bottles of water to strengthen the foundation's supplies for elderly and vulnerable residents. Lundberg expressed that it is important to give back when visiting Thailand, noting how meaningful the work was for both herself and those receiving aid in her home country.

The food program launched during the pandemic has delivered more than 5.3 million meals across Bangkok to people experiencing poverty or homelessness since then. Although Praya spends much of her time in the United States now, she remains a close friend who continues to support local initiatives when she returns from abroad. Foundation co-founder Friso Poldervaart welcomed her presence and praised Lundberg for using her platform to shine light on the circumstances affecting city residents.

Beyond emergency food aid, the Bangkok Community Help Foundation operates an inner-city homeless shelter that focuses on long-term solutions like mental health support and employment coaching. The organization aims to help more than 200 people reintegrate into society rather than just providing temporary relief. What are your thoughts on celebrity involvement in local charity work?
