Caroline Pao won her first event under the WPBA banner at the Pechauer WPBA Signature Series Stop #2 held August 27–30 in Fargo, North Dakota. Despite starting from a losing position against Kindra Prestegard and later facing two-time defending champion Veronique Menard on the loss side, Pao overcame these setbacks to secure her first title with an extended race of nine racks against Eleanor Callado.
The tournament saw strong attendance near 80 players, though it was won by New Jersey's Caroline Pao rather than Canada's Veronique Menard, who had previously won both earlier events in the series. In a dramatic final match that went double hill before being decided on rack 9, Pao defeated Callado to claim victory and her first win at an official WPBA tournament since joining the circuit in 2002.
The event concluded with congratulations extended to venue host Janet Atwell of Borderline Brunswick Arena and sponsor J. Pechauer Custom Cues for their hospitality and support. The WPBA is scheduled to return to this same location for a Pechauer Invitational from October 7–11, continuing the series that has grown in popularity since its inception last year.
