Manchester United are reportedly targeting Roma defender Wesley as their primary option for a left-back, according to reports from Football Insider. The Brazilian international is valued at approximately £50 million and has also attracted interest from Arsenal and Newcastle United ahead of the winter transfer window.
United's pursuit stems from an inability to secure a suitable replacement before the summer deadline last season, leaving them with significant questions regarding their defensive lineup for the upcoming campaign. While other clubs are monitoring Wesley closely, Man Utd appear particularly keen on bringing him back into their squad during this period.
The report highlights that despite being heavily favored by many experts as the ideal candidate to fill United's void in left-back, a final agreement has not yet been reached between the parties involved. Fans and analysts will be watching closely to see if Man Utd can finalize these negotiations before other suiters close in or transfer windows end.
