Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering signing Real Madrid centre-back Antonio Rüdiger, with the move described as a potential bargain acquisition. Reports indicate that Spurs have already invested significantly in strengthening their defence during the summer transfer window by securing free transfers of Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi, alongside Jan Paul van Hecke joining on a major contract.
Rüdiger is highlighted as a "phenomenal" 6ft 3in player from one of Europe's biggest clubs, making his potential move to North London a significant development in the club's plans for their backline. The interest comes after Spurs completed several high-profile signings aimed at addressing defensive vulnerabilities ahead of upcoming seasons.
This reported link suggests Tottenham is looking beyond domestic talent to bolster their squad with experienced international players from top-tier European leagues, continuing their strategy of strategic recruitment following last summer's spending spree.
